For over a century, denim manufacturing has relied on yarn dyeing. Indigo denim will continue to rely on yarn dyeing, but today Artistic Denim Mills becomes the first mill in the world to commercially produce color denim by dyeing fiber instead. By moving color application upstream to the fiber stage, FDCD™ meets and exceeds sustainability goals at scale through upstream innovation in dyeing and manufacturing. Construction & Weights

FDCD™ is available in rigid and stretch constructions made with blends of cotton, recycled cotton, and TENCEL™, in weights ranging from 9 oz to 14 oz. ADM also offers FDCD™ in fiber, yarn, and fabric form to other denim mills and garment manufacturers seeking scalable, sustainable, and speed-to-market color solutions.
