FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Pakistani mills are typically reached through direct relationships, sourcing agents, or trade shows like Kingpins and Première Vision. ADM works directly with brands of all sizes from its Karachi facility — from global retailers to independent labels — handling the full process from custom fabric development through sampling, bulk production, and delivery. ADM exhibits at Kingpins and is reachable directly at sales@admdenim.com for sourcing enquiries.

For sustainable sourcing, brands need GOTS (organic cotton), OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (substance safety), Cradle to Cradle (circular design), GRS (recycled content), BCI (responsible cotton), and Higg Index (facility performance). ADM holds all six of these plus WRAP, SEDEX, BSCI, OCS, RCS, and Higg FSLM — one of the most complete certification portfolios of any denim mill in Pakistan — allowing brands to satisfy even the most demanding retailer compliance requirements from a single supplier.

MOQ is the minimum volume a manufacturer will produce per run — for denim mills this typically ranges from hundreds to thousands of metres depending on construction and finish. Small and emerging brands often face exclusion from large mills with high MOQ thresholds. ADM works with brands across the size spectrum and structures MOQ around the specific fabric programme rather than applying a blanket minimum. Contact ADM’s sourcing team at sales@admdenim.com to discuss requirements specific to your collection.

Custom denim development typically takes 4–8 weeks from brief to first sample, depending on construction complexity and finish. ADM’s in-house R&D team at the Karachi facility handles custom weight, construction, blend, and wash development — with standard sampling in 2–3 weeks and rush options available for select constructions. ADM’s vertical integration means yarn preparation, weaving, dyeing, and finishing all happen on site, removing inter-factory delays that slow development at non-integrated mills.

Denim’s main impacts are water use in dyeing, chemical use in processing, and carbon from energy-intensive manufacturing. Brands reduce this by sourcing from certified mills using waterless finishing, closed-loop water recycling, and sustainable fibres. ADM’s integrated sustainability programme — 98% water recycling, solar energy, Jeanologia ozone and laser finishing, and Cradle to Cradle Gold certification — allows brands sourcing from ADM to significantly reduce the measurable footprint of their denim supply chain against industry benchmarks.

CMT means the brand supplies materials and the manufacturer assembles. Full package means the manufacturer controls everything from fabric through finished garment. ADM offers both models from its vertically integrated Karachi facility — which covers spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and garment production under one roof. This gives brands sourcing from ADM flexibility from fabric-only supply through to a fully finished, certified, traceable garment delivered from a single origin.
